Meet our Instructors
With a wealth of experience gained over a lifetime of training and teaching, we are a husband and wife team who opened our full-time premises over 18 years ago to devote to teaching Taekwon-Do. The school has been in Aberdeen for over 37 years and during that time, we developed our own tried and tested childrens programmes which are used in many other schools and have also produced a number of European and World Champions over the years. We have also been heavily involved in World and European Competitions as official umpires and currently serve on International Umpire Committees.
We are dedicated to providing a safe and family-oriented Martial Arts experience for students of all ages and to promote positive social interaction in a courteous and fun atmosphere. To encourage self-improvement and personal development through focused training and to promote physical fitness, flexibility, self confidence and determination of our students.
Our greatest responsibility is to instil in our students, a sense of discipline and a code of ethics to help inspire them towards leading exemplary lives within the community.

Teaching
Grandmaster Wallace opened his first school in Montrose 1984 and after moving to Aberdeen in 1989, opened the Aberdeen School of Taekwon-Do. The school developed over the years and in September 2003, moved into it's first full-time premises in Justice Mill Lane in Aberdeen.
The school became known as the Gordon Wallace Blackbelt Academy and was a full-time base for 5 years. In this time, the school became know as the Master Wallace Blackbelt Academy after Master Wallace's promotion to 7th Degree in 2007.
In 2008, the premises was sold and we were forced to look for a new venue. This took a year of searching and teaching classes in various sports centres until we found our new permanent full-time premises in South Esplanade West, Aberdeen.
We now have an excellent facility which we have renovated to a high standard with all the facilities you would expect from a full-time martial arts academy.
